How they Support SAge-Hub?

As Professor of Medical Informatics and Biomedical Imaging Applications and Director of a multidisciplinary laboratory at the University of Thessaly, my work focuses on artificial intelligence, digital health, advanced imaging, virtual and augmented reality, and modern medical education. I am particularly interested in translating cutting-edge technologies into real-world clinical and community applications that enhance independence, safety, and quality of life for older adults.
I have led and participated in numerous international collaborations, educational programs, and innovation initiatives, and I am actively developing Living Lab concepts that bring together healthcare professionals, researchers, industry, and citizens. Through this role, I aim to facilitate cross-sector collaboration, support pilot implementations, disseminate best practices, and help bridge the gap between research, policy, and practical deployment.
I strongly believe that addressing the challenges of population ageing requires coordinated European action, interdisciplinary thinking, and responsible use of emerging technologies. I would be delighted to contribute my experience, networks, and commitment to advancing impactful solutions for healthy ageing.
