Fotis Tekos
I work at the intersection of biotechnology, nutrition, and measurable biological outcomes, focusing on how we translate complex science into real-world, actionable value.
🔬 What I do
As Founder & CEO of FoodOxys, I develop and scale technologies that quantify how:
• food impacts the human body
• lifestyle affects biological balance
• individuals respond differently based on their biology
From nutrigenomics (DNA analysis) to oxidative stress biomarkers, our approach moves beyond assumptions into measurable insights.

How they Support SAge-Hub?
As a lecturer at the University of Thessaly, I teach Biochemical Toxicology, Physiology, and Pharmacology in Sport, and I am a faculty member of the MSc Program in Toxicology, focusing on chemoprevention mechanisms and molecular pathways of ageing and disease.
In parallel, as co-founder and CEO of FoodOxys, a University of Thessaly spin-off, we have developed patented redox-based diagnostic methodologies and DNA-based nutrigenomic tools that assess oxidative balance and support preventive, personalized strategies for healthy ageing and wellbeing.
I strongly believe that regional innovation ecosystems must connect academia, SMEs, and public stakeholders to translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions. Through the SAge-Hub Ambassador role, I aim to contribute scientific expertise, foster cross-sector collaboration, and support the development of scalable, evidence-based innovations in active and healthy ageing.
